vans and leads

building out both ends

Hi friends,

You know me from twitter, sales . co, magic sales bot, something like that. Unsub is at the bottom if these updates aren’t your thing.

I’ve got the floor in my van done. Took a week, though 3 days were wasted to switching strategies.

It’s even got radiant heating (see the wires on the right). Just an easy mat kit off amazon.

this flavor of laminate is ‘cheltenham hickory’

Up next, my solar panels arrive this week. Getting electrical in needs to happen before I can frame, insulate, and build out the sides and top.

I have a lead on an Amish aluminum worker. Will visit this week. I’d like a strong pocket door up front. If I stop fast, I don’t want anything hitting me. I’d also like a custom ladder and for someone else to cut the window holes for me. That’s something you only get one shot at.

smaller barn

I got one of the smaller barns cleaned out for the first time in years. It’s where my dad started his mechanic business when I was a kid. I’ll likely have to move the next sections of the project in here.

Rain is almost daily, and that won’t do when I’m putting holes in this vehicle and waiting for the silicone to cure. It’s the best building with a high enough door that I can scrounge.

I’ve got DamnGoodLeads launched. It’s my niche lead list service. I launched with Shopify Apps. Next I’m doing SaaS companies.

Starting small. I’m betting that, even with all the AI in the sales space, you’ll never be better than the data you’re using.

I like that I can sell it over cold email. Next in line is a “companies who are hiring x” dynamic list. I can sell that to the recruiters I scraped. And to the SaaS who solve the problem that they’re hiring for.

I like businesses where I can use the business to advance the business. It’s what’s great about a lead gen agency. Your first case study is yourself.

That’s all for this week!

Love,

Ryan
