building & building

Hey friend, it’s Ryan Doyle. You probably know me from Twitter, Sales.co, or Magic Sales Bot.

Building the van

I’m on a 2 week pause with the van. I’ve got solar panels and Starlink installed, flooring done, and the solar successfully charges my batteries.

Now it’s with an Amish metalsmith (is that a word?) who built a custom interior wall (to separate driving and living compartments) and a shower pan + greywater tank and is installing it. The greywater mounts underneath so I can save interior space.

Then I’m taking it straight to a Mennonite body shop for them to put a custom back window in for me and install my roof vent.

I’ve put holes in the body to mount panels, an awning, and starlink. For these bigger metal cuts, I’d rather have a pro do it. If water gets through, it’ll ruin the van.

Building software

I’ve been doing growth consulting outside SalesCo for 2 businesses and dedicating time to a few projects of my own, quickly discarding if there’s no interest.

A few weeks ago I started an AI for Salespeople newsletter. I just wanted 10 subscribers in the first week. It’s got 200 on email and 300 on LinkedIn, so far.

I built a script that’ll grab today’s posts from ProductHunt, Hacker News, and a few sales forum. If it’s relevant, it’ll draft a newsletter based on my past issues. Fun!

I started a campaign for an Instantly Deliverability tool earlier this week. 2 people are interested in it, and so am I. Building it over the weekend to share with them and to build a case study out of my growth clients.

That’s all!

Love,

Ryan
